I've always loved to take photos it seems. Some of my favorite subjects are animals, especially race horses. I love the way their muscles ripple, the way the sun hits their coats, and their intensity. I hope you enjoy these. Some of my subjects are well-known, others not.

Paynter's First Breeze 2-26-2013 : Paynter- a miracle on four legs is what I call him. Six months ago, he was desperately ill, in a hospital in upstate New York, diagnosed with colitis, DIC, laminitis and then a cecal abscess- Four illnesses that can prove fatal. Paynter's owner, Ahmed Zayat, swore he would do whatever it took to give him the chance to get well, as long as the colt could be kept comfortable. Power Up Paynter became the rallying cry of not only the Zayats, but Dr. Laura Javsicas, and fans across the country. Prayers DO work and miracles DO happen, and today I witnessed both. Paynter breezed 3 furlongs in 36.00- 3rd best out of 12. And that was with orders from trainer Bob Baffert to do an "easy 3". And the best part? I got to visit him and tell him how the world was rejoicing with him that he's BACK!
